Hello!
Welcome to my website! I'm super excited to introduce you to a little bit about me and my work. While there is always a little bit of overlap between things, I've broken this section into my acting and singing work. BUT BEFORE THAT, here's some stuff about me :)
I'm from Oswego, NY, aka the real Upstate NY (which is AT LEAST everything above Westchester County). Growing up I've gotten to learn to love performing and all that jazz but other things I love include Starbucks (Where I have a Part Time Job), Rock Climbing, Pokémon, the Percy Jackson Book series, Solitaire (which I play at least everyday), and the NYT Games!
Also, I'm a bit of a nerd in the way where I know way to much about my interests and also really random things. For example, I once wrote an entire research paper about the best way to board an airplane for a class after watching one video about it.
Anyways, enough about the personal stuff, now for the professional things.
While at Hofstra, I began my tenure with acting training during my first two years. At this time I studied primarily under Neo-Futurist and renowned director Chris Dippel. I also developed movement and speech skills under Broadway Movement & Fight Coach Robert Westley and Dialect & Speech Professor Ilona Pierce. This training allowed me to excell in roles such as Toby in Menotti's The Medium (2021) and The Captain in George Buchner's Woyzeck (2023). During my undergrad, I was able to spend a summer studying at The Globe Theater in London under acclaimed Globe Player James Garnon.
While focusing in acting, I slowly began to garner more technique in my singing. Studying under internationally acclaimed Mezzo-Sporano Tammy Hensrud starting in my spring 2021 semester, I began establishing solid Musical Theater technique, slowly moving into Classical music
In my sophmore year, I began training in classical repertoire. I sang my first role of Bill in Samuel Barber's A Hand of Bridge. Over the next year I developed my classical sound and showcased my work in a shared Junior Recital. Captioning my time at Hofstra, I performed the role of Guglielmo and presented a solo Senior Recital featuring works such as Ravel's Don Quichotte À Dulcinée and Schubert's Erlkönig.
Outside of Hofstra, I performed at the Queens Summer Vocal Institute. At QSVI, I sang Papageno in Die Zauberflóte and Bob in The Old Maid and The Thief. Originally covering the role of Papgeno, I was given the opportunity to perform the role.
Currently, I am in my first semseter of study at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College where I am pursuing a Masters of Music in Classical Vocal Performance. Studying under esteemed Conductor and Tenor Louis G. Burkot, I am refining my skills and gathering a more intimate understanding of my voice.
In the coming year I will be singing two roles: Besso in Cavalli's Il Giasone and Vicar Gedge in Britten's Albert Herring. The stark difference in style, range, and personality between these two roles presents an incredibly fun challenge in the creation of their charcter and sound.
Outside of the ACSM, just before the semester started, I made my European Debut in Bad Gastein, Austria at the Music in the Alps festival. While at Music in the Alps, I performed in several concerts as an American Young Artist in collaboration Ukrainian Young Artists. Below you can find a video of "Mein sehnen, mein wähnen" from Korngold's Die Tote Stadt, feautring myself and Yana Kalenchuk, a pianist from Ukraine.
